The Royal Stewart tartan originated as a symbol of upper crust British society during the Victorian and Edwardian era. It’s association with the aristocracy led to the adoption of the Stewart tartan by the punk movement in 1970’s Britain, as a form of rebellion against the establishment and what it stood for. Since then, the Stewart plaid has come to symbolize a time that introduced a new attitude towards music and style that is so influential to this day.

Camilla wears our Stewart Plaid series and PATTI Boy T - inspired by the punk spirit…and our favorite punk poet, Patti Smith.
