Peter Salsman is an industrious creator, working very purposefully in many media to create objects that are functional and technically sound as well as aesthetically pleasing. Innovative in his methods, Salsman takes pride in the artistry of his commodities. In painting and printmaking, Salsman focuses on landscapes, using nature photography as reference. In ceramics and sculpture using found objects, he is influenced by his dreams, creating objects that range from charming porcelain flower pots to babydolls with devil horns. Salsman is also a proficient fashion designer, working in both leather and crochet to create avant garde wearables like crocheted lederhosen.
